Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Nicholas at “The Ukrainian Village” on the eve of St. Nicholas Day on May 21, 2012

On the eve of St. Nicholas Day (May 22), Monday May 21, 2012, which was also the Day of Queen Victoria, the clergy of the Patriarchal Parishes in Canada – Very Reverend Sergey Kipriyanovich, Very Reverend Igor Kisil and Reverend Anton Filchak – celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Nicholas, located on the territory of the museum of cultural heritage “The Ukrainian Village”.

After the Liturgy, Very Reverend Sergey Kipriyanovich addressed the parishioners with speech of welcome and sermon related to the feast.

As a tradition, there was a pot-luck lunch organized by the parishioners. The cultural program in the village included exhibitions, public performance of ensembles and dancing groups, which represented the culture of folk music and dance from different regions of Ukraine.
