From Life of the Moldovan Community

Prima intilnire a Moldovenilor din Edmonton. The first meeting of Moldovans in Edmonton

With God’s help and Bishop Iov of Kashira’s blessing it was possible that the Moldovan’s Community be created de facto and de jure. Our group is small but our hearts and plans are big. In order to realize our dreams, we needed a leader. Father Vitalie Manoli from Moldova embodies the leader we were looking for to conclude the Community of Moldovan’s in Edmonton and its surroundings. Bishop Iov before concluding his mission as the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Canada offered the possibility to our community to reunite in pray with our God at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Barbara. Moreover, His Grace is eager to offer to the Moldovan Community a small church located in near Edmonton where we will be able to gather to pray and celebrate all religious holidays in our native language. We wish to thank you for this onerous gift and your contribution to that dear Bishop. Your heart is full of compassion to all people what it makes you a very special person. God bless you in your future religious activity. We will miss you very mach.
