Very Reverend Evgeniy Protsenko

Born on April 15, 1973 in the town of Izmail, Odessa region, Ukraine. In 1980 entered Elementary School and then in 1988 continued education in college based both on Secondary School #7 and Izmail Pedagogical Institute and received the Certificate of Secondary Education in 1990.

In 1990 enrolled into the first year of Izmail Pedagogical Institute (now, University) to the Faculty of Foreign Languages, from which graduated in 1995 with a specialty of a teacher specialist of English and German languages.

From 1995 to 1998 worked as a teacher of English in the village of Safyani of Izmail region.

From 1995 was an altar servant and a church warden, first in the church of Konstantine and Helen, and then in Pokrov (Intercession/ Mother of God’s Protecting Veil) Cathedral in the town of Izmail.

On February 27, 2001 was ordained by His Eminence Mitropolitan Agafangel (Savin) of Odessa and Izmail a deacon and on March 6 – a presbyter for the Pokrov Cathedral of the city of Izmail, where did pastoral as well as educational (pedagogical) work.

From 1999 up to 2008 was an editor and a journalist of Izmail orthodox newspaper – “Orthodox Izmail”, and also was a newspaper’s official website (http://pokrov.skynet.net.ua) administrator from it’s beginning in 2007 up to the canonical leave.

Successfully accomplished first year of Moscow Theological snt. Tikhon University, to get a necessary theological minimum for missionary work.

In 2009 enrolled into the first year of Odessa Theological Seminary, from which graduated in 2013.

In 1998 married Olga Krutevitch, and have two children — Mikhail (2001) and Daria (2008), both are students. Matushka Olha is an art teacher by the education (graduated from the Izmail State Pedagogical University in 2000), and has some skills and experience in painting, decoupage, stained glass and some other art and craft spheres.

Blessed to have church awards up to palitsa, including archpriest (by Mitropolitan Agafangel) – in 2010, and also Metropolitan’s Certificates.

Since 2015 Through the blessing of Iov, Bishop of Kashira, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Canada, serves as a priest at sntt. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox church in Regina SK, Canada; also – a teacher of the Sunday school and an administrator of the parish web-site. Took part in organizing the church building renovation (construction). During this period, has been blessed by some appreciation diplomas by His Grace Bishop Iov.

In December the 28^th, 2017 was assigned to the service in the Diocese of Kashira, having been put at the disposal of Iov, Bishop of Kashira, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in Canada.

In September the 10^th, 2018 by His Eminence Mathew, Bishop of Surozh was appointed a rector of Orthodox 9 Patriarchal Parishes.
