On March, the 7th the deacon of St. Barbara’s cathedral celebrated the remarkable 70th anniversary.
The thanksgiving moleben was served at St. Barbara’s cathedral and was lead by the dean of the Patriarchal Parishes in Canada and the rector of St. Barbara Cathedral archpriest Igor Kisil, and co-served with the deacon Andrei Boldireff, the rector of “Orthodox IX” parishes archpriest Evheniy Protsenko, the rector of “Orthodox V” parishes priest Alexios Surayev, archpriest Vitaliy Manoli and deacon John Russel.
From the cathedral ambo father Igor on behalf of the clergy and orthodox believers of Patriarchal Parishes congratulated father deacon, giving thanks to him for many years of service as a subdeacon, deacon, a mentor for new altar boys, subdeacons, deacons and priests, a bishop’s attendant and an expert on the orthodox service; and wishing father Andrew and matushka Faina many blessed years.
On the occasion of the anniversary father deacon by the recomendation of His Grace Matthew, Bishop of Sourohz was awarded with the Patriarchal Certificate of merit.
