Our site would like to offer to your attention two documentary films, made in 1984, about the monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine.

The first one tells (in English) about Kiev, Pochaev Laura and many other monasteries and the monastic life, conducted there by the monks and nuns. This film was produced for the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus’ (988-1988). For viewing it, please, use the following link:

The second film is in Ukranian language and concentrates specifically on the history, architecture and inner spiritual life of The Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra. You will be able to see famous Miracle-Making Icon of Mother of God of Pochaev, the cave in rock of Saint Job of Pochaev and His Holy relics, the place, where Mother of God stepped on the stone and where the spring with Holy water appeared.
