On the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, January the 15th, Sunday before the Theophany, we had a traditional Christmas Concert and Potluck at St. Barbara’s cathedral after the completion of the Divine Liturgy.
The Parish Council and the Ladies’ Aid decorated the premises of the Cathedral Hall and were catering, and our parishioners and guests brought a lot of homemade delicious food to share with each other during the festive Christmas meal.
The Sunday School of the Cathedral were performing the Christmas songs and carols; not once we were enjoying the sounds of violins; children were reciting the festive poems and pleased us with their talents.
Traditionally, our little ones enjoyed the visit of Santa Claus, who generously presented them with gifts and brought a lot of joy to the house.
At the end of the feast all people made a choir singing the Christmas carols in English, Ukrainian and Russian, glorifying God’s gift of Nativity!
