On 24 July 2011 His Eminence Iov, bishop of Kashira, Administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in Canada and the rector of the parish Rev. Anton Filchak as well as the deacon Joseph Winnick celebrated the festival liturgy at the oldest Patriarchal parish – the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Old Wostok, in commemoration of the 114th anniversary of the first Divine Liturgy on this site and on the Canadian land. Numerous guests from all parishes were present at the Divine Liturgy, among them the representatives of St. Barbara Cathedral in Edmonton with the president of the Cathedral Roman Lopushinsky. The epistle was read by William Procinsky. A wonderful quire of Orthodox 5 conducted by Andrea Zacharuk was singing in two languages – English and Slavic. During the liturgy Charles, Nestor, Martin and Nazar served as subdeacons. At the end of the service the subdeacon Nestor was awarded with an orarium. The service was followed by the communal lunch.
