On the 25th of February, 2024 the first organizational meeting for the Orthodox Summer Camp took place at St. Barbara’s Cathedral.
The main theme of the camp will be the Twelve Major Feasts of the Orthodox Church.
The dates of the camp were announced as July 28 – August 4, at the same place, Camp “Barvinok” at Pigeon Lake.
The new executive members were elected – V. Rev. Yevheniy Protsenko and Vikroria Efimenko, with the Camp Director, V. Rev. Igor Kisil – reelected. The registration fee is 325, and $350 for non-members; and the deposit for the final cleaning – $100.
Some other important aspects of the camp life were discussed, such as the compilation of the new Prayer Book for the campers, in both – Slavonic and English language to give all the campers a good opportunity to take part in the morning an evening prayers.
Several propositions were made as for the craft activities: astronomic club, ‘prosphoras’ baking, etc.
