On January 7, on the feast of the Nativity of Christ the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by bishop Iov of Kashira, assisted by the rector of the Cathedral fr.Sergey Kipriyanovich, fr.Mircha Panchiuk, fr.George Sergeev and deacon Joseph Winnyck. The Cathedral’s choir was excellent like at the feast night service.

On January 9, on the Sunday after Nativity it was the traditional children’s Christmas program at St.Barbara’s Cathedral. The joyful performance was prepared by Russian Educational Center under the direction of Alexander Voloboev. All participants were excited to receive New Year presents from the hands of Santa Klaus (Bill Karpo). The master of ceremony (Roman Lopushinsky) increased  the happy atmosphere of Christmas and New Year, which will be remembered for a long  time.
